What are the numbers on the field for each age group.
We will implement the the small sided games provisions of the MVYSA from our sanctioning body - OSYSA. So U8 - U10 teams will play 6v6, U11 and U12 teams will play 8v8 and U13-U15 teams will play 11v11.

Copy of coaches concussion certificate. Additionally teams from Canada must supply proof of entry into the United States for each player and a completed form from its Provincial or National Association approving the teams participation in the tournament.
Can the medical release on the USYSA Membership form be used instead of the Charity Cup medical release form?
Yes - provided it is dated within 90 days of tournament.
What is the deadline for submitting an application?
How many games will my team play?
We previously had a four game tournament but several teams didn’t want to play the last game which made it tough. We are now to standard 3 game with championship or 4 game round robin
The application form does not look right on my screen (overlapping drop down boxes, long rows over the input fields, etc.) What is going on?
First, you should let the ENTIRE form load BEFORE you scroll. It is a big form.

In short, your computer does not have enough memory (RAM) available to render the form correctly. Here is the solution that will work in most cases:

1. Clear the cache (temporary files) in Internet Explorer (Usually Tools>Internet Options>Remove Temporary files
2. Shut down Internet Explorer
3. Restart the computer
4. Open JUST MS Internet Explorer.
5. Go to Web site, fill out form.

In most cases, this will solve the problem....
What age groups are playing?
Both boys and girls teams in ages U8 through U15. U14 may combine with U15 teams due to the age/high school conflict that exists in these years.

During the fall 2013 and - spring 2014 seasons individuals born after July 31, 2006 are not allowed to be a member of a MVYSA member team.
MVYSA permits a U8 to play on a either a U8 or U9 team. Any player older than a U8 can 'play up' as much as the parents and coaches feel is in the best interest of the player (ie a U10 could 'play up' on a U11 or U12 team). No player may 'play down' (ie a U14 may not play on a U13 team).

U8-U10 teams play 6v6, U11-U12 play 8v8, U13-U19 play 11v11

Fall U14 and U15 Players

Each fall there is a small but sizeable group of players who are U15 by age but are not playing high school soccer as most of the other U15 players. They may be still in the eighth grade, they may not have chosen to play for their high school team or they may not have made a high school team. Without some special accommodation these players would not have a place to play competitive soccer during the fall season. These U15 players are sometimes called ‘Trapped’ players.

We encourage all clubs and teams in the Miami Valley to be open to finding ways for trapped U15 players to play during the fall season. This fall we will register U15 and U14 teams. We expect many teams who would normally be a U14 team will add some of the 'Trapped ' U15 players for fall and play as a U15 team. The 'Trapped' U15 players may choose to transfer to a true U15 team for spring and the fall team will return to play U14. Some teams will choose to play U15 for both fall and spring.

This fall if there are enough U14 and U15 teams who register for fall play then we will have separate U14 and U15 divisions. If there are too few teams to have separate age divisions then the league will combine all teams into one division. MVYSA has followed the practice of combining 2 ages groups when numbers of registered teams are low for many years.

MVYSA has created a system where all U15 players have a place to play in the fall, which follows rules from our parent organizations, which functions as smoothly as possible, and is understood by all involved.

Each team must understand that if you roster a U15 player on your fall roster you will be labeled as a U15 team and the proper way for such a player to leave your roster after the fall season is if they either transfer to another team for spring or voluntary quit your team. Both transfers and voluntary quits must follow MVYSA and OSYSA rules.
What do we do about cards?
As a preseason event you have 2 options

1. Use last years cards, they are good until end of August
2. Use the NEW cards issued for the fall (2018-2019 season)
Where will tournament be held?
At Eagle City Soccer Complex on the north side of Springfield Ohio. Springfield is 1/2 hour east of Dayton along the north side of I-70. We are located near the center of the state, no more than a 4 hour drive from the furthest reaches of Ohio.
Who is sponsoring the tourney?
The Springfield Thunder Soccer Club with assistance from Springfield Chamber of Commerce, National Trails Parks and Recreation, and area businesses. This Charity event benefits the Club as well as The Rocking Horse and the Clark County Child Advocacy Center.
Who should attend?
We are looking for teams who desire 4 matches to prep their team for the fall season.
Why are you called a Charity Cup?
Our field sponsors will be directly supporting Rocking Horse Center - a Springfield based healthcare facility helping raise healthy children in caring families. Our goal is to raise $1,000 for their support each year. Their vision is to improve the health and well-being of all infants, children and youth in the Springfield area. Rocking Horse Center is located on South Limestone Avenue opposite South High Schoool. Its beautiful facility opened in 1999 and has experienced rapid growth. In addition, we hope to contribute funds to support the miossion of the Clark County Child Advocacy Center.
